Suffolk Junior Team Championship

Congratulations to Felixstowe Ferry juniors retained the Suffolk Junior Team Championship by defeating Aldeburgh juniors at Rushmere Golf Club on a very warm and sultry afternoon. En-route to the final, Felixstowe Ferry had defeated Fynn Valley, Haverhill and Gorleston. Aldeburgh had been successful against Thorpeness, Ipswich and Woodbridge.

In the matches, clubs are represented by three players playing a Stableford round with the aggregate scores deciding the winner. Scores in the final were: –

Felixstowe Ferry 87 points
William Adams 29;
Bailee Taylor 28;
Freddie Brewster 30;

Aldeburgh 84 points
Liam Buggs 28;
Charlie Langdon 34;
Wynn Hickson 22.

Felixstowe Ferry will represent Suffolk in the English Junior Champion Club tournament at Woodhall Spa.
